Petry, Falcons adjust on the fly, win opener

Jake Petry can perform just fine on short notice.

The St. Albert senior wasn’t slated to pitch Tuesday’s season opener against No. 8 Logan-Magnolia. Junior Travis Miller was supposed to get the ball, but since he qualified for the state tennis meet later in the week, it was thought best not to tax his arm and to have Petry pitch.
