Saintes lose tough battle to TJ

Ashtyn Neill struck out eight in a 3-0 shutout for Thomas Jefferson over St. Albert Tuesday night at St. Albert.

The Lady Jackets took advantage of five hits and three St. Albert errors.

Stephanie Davids drove in a run with her fifth inning double.

"Stephanie has been swinging well lately," said T.J. coach Kelly Duffek. "Samantha Flowers did a good job bunting tonight also.

"Their pitcher (Felicia Campbell) did a good job keeping us off balance," said Duffek.

Meghan Crowley and Katie Gilliland had the hits for the Saintes.

St. Albert is back in action tonight, hosting Sioux City West.

Thomas Jefferson next has Missouri River Conference business, hosting Sioux City Heelan Thursday.
