ATLANTIC - Tyler Haug scored twice in the first half for St. Albert in a 4-0 win over Atlantic in soccer action Saturday.

It's the eighth win of the season for the Falcons who outshot the Trojans 20-4 in the first half on a slippery field in Atlantic.

"It was raining lightly the whole game," said St. Albert coach Tom Lorkovic. "We finished the game with no injuries so everything went all right."

The game was nearly called off at halftime, but both coaches agreed to continue.

"We want to play as much as we can,' said Lorkovic. "You never know how many games will be cancelled due to the weather, so we agreed to keep playing."

Jon Recher and Chad Pearce tallied in the second half for the Falcons.

"It was nice to score some goals and get our offense going," said Lorkovic. "Nate Kruse played his best game of the year on defense."

Cameron Tucker picked up his sixth shutout of the season.

St. Albert will travel to Sioux City East on Tuesday before a city showdown with Abraham Lincoln on Wednesday.

"We rested some players and got the whole roster into the game today,' said Lorkovic. "We have a tough week ahead of us."
