New era for softball set to commence

Times are changing in softball, and it all starts with the 2012 season.
Iowa switches from four classes to five this summer.
When the softball season starts Monday, Abraham Lincoln and Thomas Jefferson will join the new and largest Class 5-A. Lewis Central remains in 4-A, and St. Albert will compete in 2-A.
Regardless of where they’re placed, they’re eager to get started.
