Jake Lewis (42-4) won 7-5 in his first match. 

In the Quarterfinals 41-2 Kory Schmelzer from Corning was down 5-2 against Lewis but then caught Jake in a tough move and pinned Jake in the 2nd period.

Lewis won his consolation match 6-1 Friday night and will now place.  He will wrestle again tonight about 10pm.

Jake won by pin against the #4 ranked kid in the state in his late Friday night consolation match & will now be guaranteed to place in the top 6! He'll wrestle again Saturday morning against 20-2 Andrew Wellik from Emmetsburg who lost in the Semi's Friday night.  Lewis could now take anywhere from 3rd-6th.

Marco Naughton (35-0) won his first match with a pin in 56 seconds.

With it all tied 1-1 late in the 3rd period, Marco took down Tyler Smith from Lisbon with 2 seconds left in the match and got back points and won 5-1 & now moves onto the Semi's tonight about 10:20pm!

In the Semi's, Marco will take on 50-4 Dillon Suhr from Guthrie Center.  Suhr beat Joe Koehn from Valley who was a State Finalist last year and beat Marco in the Quarters.

In the Semi's Marco won by pin in just 23 seconds!!!

He'll now attempt to become just the 3rd State Champion in St. Albert History (BJ Olbeding at 152lb in 2003 & Brennan McNitt at 130lb in 2011).
