St. Albert stormed to a 40-point win (64-24) over Underwood Tuesday night in a boys prep basketball game at the St. Albert gymnasium.

The Falcons held their counterparts to seven first half points, opening up a 28-point lead after 16 minutes.

"Any time you hold a team to seven points in a half, you're hustling and working hard (on defense)," St. Albert coach Dale Scott said.

Freshman Matt Waters came off the bench to provide a game-high 14 points to go with six rebounds for the Falcons.

Doug Moran added 13 points in the win, while Marc Baumert added nine and C.J. Gradoville chipped in with eight.

The Falcons came up with 21 steals in the game, with Alan Caniglia pacing the team with five.

"It was a pretty solid effort all around," Scott said.
