Saintes hammer Boystown...

Posted: 10/11/2005 - by

"Coming into tonight, I told the girls 'we need to start off and play well and dominate,'" St. Albert coach Angie Lantz said. "And we did that."
The ease of the victory allowed the Saintes to use their entire roster.
"It was good to get everybody some playing time," Lantz said. "We got to mix things up and have a little fun."
The Saintes really had fun with their serving game, as the team collected a total of 16 aces led by Krista Kennebeck's seven.
Kennebeck also had a team-high eight kills.
"She hit the ball really well tonight," Lantz said.
Aileen Mooney added six kills and four blocks. Megan Crowley, normally the team's libero, was able to play in the front row and added four kills.
Marissa Finn had nine assists, while Gina Assmann added eight and Caitlin Cool came up with seven digs for the Saintes, who have just one more regular-season match on the schedule.
St. Albert returns home Thursday with a 7:30 p.m. parent's night contest against Glenwood.
