Three SWI teams compete in middle school science contest

Three southwest Iowa teams traveled to Ames to compete at the 12th annual Ames Laboratory/Iowa State University Regional Middle School Science Bowl.

Ames Middle School repeated as champion of the contest Saturday, advancing to represent the region at the National Science Bowl this spring in Washington, D.C. The high school contest was held last month.

St. Albert Catholic Schools and Shenandoah Middle School both advanced out of pool play in the contest, while Glenwood Middle School fell 3-0 in the morning portion and failed to advance.
