Charlie's Prediction Time

The Cross Country teams are figuring it out and getting MUCH better.  It appears the volleyball team probably won't be at full strength the rest of the year, but the Saintes have shown in the past they can rise above injuries and still get to State (2011, 2012, 2013, 2015 & 2016).  Kylie Collins is having a great year swimming for the Saintes as shown by her recent win in the 200 Individual Medley.

Alumni & Friends Golf was a big success! A major thanks to all who supported and played in the event!! Join us January 6th at 6pm for Alumni & Friends Bowling at Thunderbowl.  This year's proceeds will likely go to a deceased Alums scholarship at SA.  2018 Alumni & Friends Golf will be Sunday, September 30th at 1pm at The Council Bluffs Country Club - it's always the last Sunday in September at CBCC at 1pm... Also, we're going to hopefully try a new event this year in the Spring.  Look for Alumni & Friends Ping Pong and Bags Tourney in March.  Proceeds likely to go to The Auction.  Remember, it's an important fundraiser, not just a good time.

As for the Falcons in Martensdale tonight...

For a team that once again won by the 35 point rule, the critic in me thinks the Falcons at times last week looked soft, sloppy and unfocused.  That can happen to young guys, especially during Homecoming.  Tonight that shouldn't be a problem.  A good road trip (and some bad film from last week) can be just the recipe to get a group focused.  And the fact the best or 2nd best team in the District comes calling next week.

Martensdale runs the ball a lot so the Falcons will get a nice test upfront.  But, the Blue Devils won't be able to catch the Falcons on the beautiful field turf.  Expect the Falcons to be crisp, clean and crackin' tonight... It will do no good for anyone involved to name a score but I'll say this - take the Falcons (once again) and take them big.  Enjoy the road trip - word is a big Flock of the Faithful are making the trip!
