Dolores BormanThe St. Albert family is saddened by the loss of Dolores Borman.  Dolores was a St. Albert supporter, her daughter-in-law, Linda, and her granddaughter's, Molly (1998) and Emily (2000) are all graduates. Please keep the entire Borman family in your prayers at this time and please pray for the repose of Dolores' soul.

Eternal rest grant unto Dolores o' Lord: And let perpetual light shine upon her.

Dolores Borman, passed away peacefully May 11, 2017, in Scottsdale, Ariz., at the age of 94.

She was born in Omaha, Neb., on January 21, 1923, and graduated from Benson High School at the age of 16. She resided in Council Bluffs, most of her adult life before retiring to Scottsdale.

Preceding her in death are her husband, Richard P. Borman; her parents, Leon and Agnes Avery; brother, Howard; and sister-in-law, Marge Avery; and sister, Eleanor Avery. Her family was the pride and joy and greatest blessing of her life.

She is survived by three sons: Rod and wife, Sue, Tyler and wife, Linda, and Doug and wife, Patti; eight grandchildren: Brad Borman (Shelley), Mindi Sales (Todd), Cassie Sanford (Scott), Allison Hamling (Scott), Sara Scott (David), Mark Borman (Kelly), Molly Solorzano (Alvaro), and Emily Brownlee (Matthew); 28 great-grandchildren: Baxter and Savannah Borman, Emily and Carter Butterbaugh, Natalie, Caroline, Lily, and Faith Sales, Madison, Mallory, Lizzie, and Lincoln Sanford, Anna, Emily, Jake, and Molly Hamling, Eleanor, Lucy, and Jimmy Scott, Kyla and Alex Borman, Lucy, Sylvie, Tyler, and Margo Solorzano, Miles, Paige, and Madison Brownlee.

Dolores will be fondly remembered for her fun-loving sense of humor, positive outlook, brilliant bridge-playing, and endless devotion to her Iowa Hawkeyes. She lived her life to the fullest and will be greatly missed by her friends and family. A private Graveside service for the family will be held in Council Bluffs at a later date. Contributions may be made in her memory to the University of Iowa Athletic Foundation or to the Foothills Community Foundation/ Kachina’s Place.
