Culjat back on track after lost seasons

Tucker Culjat had big plans for his final year of athletics at Council Bluffs St. Albert.

The senior had been a standout four-sport athlete throughout his prep career, but gave up baseball last summer to prepare for his last football season. An injury in the second game, however, cut his season short. Ensuing surgeries wiped out his basketball season as well.

He was one of the top returning players in Council Bluffs in both sports.

During a 10-month stretch from last May to early April, Culjat played exactly two football games. For an athlete used to being busy all year long, that's been a bitter pill to swallow.
