City softball preview

New fields, new coaches and a new softball season in Council Bluffs.

Optimism is high within each of the four city school programs. All return at least one All-City player and all have designs on improving from last year. Abraham Lincoln travels to St. Albert on Monday night, while Lewis Central opens at home against the Saintes on Tuesday. Thomas Jefferson makes its debut Thursday against A.L., and the programs will hold a field dedication ceremony for the new facility they share at Wickersham Stadium.
