Saintes to rely on balance, senior experience to overcome losses

Angie Lantz has been stressing balance from Day One. And by Day One, she means since the St. Albert volleyball was driving home from last year’s state tournament.
The Saintes coach happened to have most of the then-juniors in her van during the mid-November caravan from Cedar Rapids to Council Bluffs. It didn’t take long until they started wondering what playing would be like without Kylie Ferguson, their graduating leader and a Class 2-A second-team all-state hitter.
Stick together, Lantz said, and the success will keep coming.
