St. Albert Fine Arts week

The Fine Arts Department at Saint Albert Catholic Schools is sponsoring a Fine Arts Week March 12-18 to showcase the school's award-winning choirs, band, artists and speech contestants. 

Following are the activities scheduled for the week: 

- Sunday at 6:30 p.m. - Fine Arts Showcase

The evening will include performances by St. Albert choirs and band, an art exhibit, sneak preview of scenes from the school's spring play, "Night of January 16th," speech performances, storytelling, refreshments and much more.

- Monday at 7:30 p.m. - Spring Music Concert

The concert will include performances by St. Albert's Junior High Choir, as well as its High School Concert and Show Choirs. Instrumental music also will be provided by the school's Jazz Ensemble and band.

- Tuesday at 7 p.m. - All-City Show Choir Spectacular

The St. Albert gym will be alive with the sound of music when show choirs from St. Albert, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Kirn and Wilson show off their expertise at this event. The cost is $4 for adults and $3 for students.

- Thursday, March 16, and Friday, March 17 - Art Exhibit

Parents attending parent/student conferences at St. Albert can enjoy an art exhibit and video presentations of concert performances.

- Saturday, March 18 - Centennial Conference Honor Band and Choir Festival.

Students from seven high schools in Iowa and Nebraska will perform in this festival at St. Albert. The performance begins at 4 p.m. The cost is $4 for adults and $3 for students.
