The former St. Albert star stayed home to play basketball for two seasons at Iowa Western Community College. Now O'Connor has signed a letter-of-intent to complete his academic and athletic career at Wofford College in Spartanburg, S.C.

"Earlier," said O'Connor, "I wanted to stay close to home. Now, it's time to spread out."

Once that decision was made, O'Connor literally went coast-to-coast to make a decision about his next step. The sophomore noted that two of the schools that received serious consideration were Fairleigh Dickinson in Teaneck, N.J., and Long Beach State in California.
