Charlie's Prediction Time

Lots going on around the St. Albert community this week! Let's get started with some grads on the court this weekend:

Good luck to Matti Munger and her South Dakota State volleyball team. They are in Des Moines where they will play Drake tonight at 7pm and Iowa tomorrow at 3pm.

Good luck to Lexie Petry and her College of St. Mary volleyball team.  They are at home tomorrow against Dakota State at Noon.

Good luck to Syd McClaren and her Buena Vista volleyball team who are at Grinnell tomorrow.

Good luck to Danny Koch, Rodrigo Barajas, Luke Waters and Tyler Blaha as their Iowa Western football team heads to Hutch on Saturday at Noon.

Jackson Scott-Brown and his UNI Panthers have the week off before traveling to Iowa City next weekend.  Matt Fagan is at Iowa but has a lower body injury that will force what was an already likely Redshirt this season.

Some grads are assistant coaching college football teams: Jake Waters is with UTEP.  They are at UNLV Saturday night late.  If in Vegas... I love the over 54.5 in this game.

Mickey Russell is with Wyoming and they are at Missouri-17.5 Saturday night at 6pm on ESPNU.

Did I miss someone? If so, please shoot me a text and I'll get them in next week.

If you haven't listened to Coach Ryan's or Coach Lantz's podcast yet, you are seriously missing out on some great St. Albert goodies.  Listening to these two Coaches will only re-affirm the goodness of St. Albert and the St. Albert community.  And  I think some mist rolled in about halfway through Coach Angie's interview...

The Falcons got things rolling early last week and never looked back (until late).  Yes the line play was much improved but the little guys in the backfield handling the ball played great too and made some nice cuts to get themselves in space.  Expect more of the same tonight.

Logan-Magnolia does their thing year after year and they do it quite well.  This year they've been a little off, but you know it will only get better for them as the season moves along.  What is a little different this year is the Panthers throw the ball more than in the past.  This is good news for SA as our DB's are solid.

I think the Falcons get it done tonight but not as big as the Wise Guys in Vegas think (20.5).  Young guys on the road in a tough environment in their first road game? Oh and this is essentially a must win for both teams.  Lo-Ma is trying to save their season and the way I look at the Falcons is this: I think they are all must wins now until AHSTW.  Any slip-ups and the playoffs are likely out the window.

Lastly... This has been a terrific rivalry over the years and frankly it's been heated and nasty at times - on both sides.  I think we've all learned with praying for Coach Straight & his family through his cancer and with Lo-Ma recently returning the favor for Jill White and the community, that there is a much bigger picture here.  No trash talk, no fireworks, no flames and no-nonsense.  Just #LiveLikeJill  Play to win and have a fun flight back home to CB.

Cool and crisp - what a night for small town Americana and some high school football!

Throw the records and the line out the window on the way to the game. 10-4 Good Buddy:

Falcons win 27-13
