WALNUT - Walnut pitcher Danny Petersen handcuffed the St. Albert offense Wednesday night, using a complete-game three-hit effort to blank the Falcons 5-0 in a non-conference baseball game.

Petersen struck out 14 batters against one walk as he upped his record to 7-0 on the year.

"He was really on tonight. He did his job," St. Albert coach Ken Schreiber said of Petersen. "He's probably the best pitcher we've seen this year."

Petersen also drove in a pair of runs for the Warriors, while Josh Olson was 3-for-3 and Steven Kay finished 2-for-4 from the plate.
