Down 5-0 after the top of the fifth inning, St. Albert scored three runs apiece in the fifth and sixth to come from behind for a 6-5 win over Glenwood in non-conference baseball action at Chuck Wolever Field Tuesday.

"This was a great win for us," St. Albert coach Ken Schreiber said. "Over the weekend we played really good baseball at the Carroll Kuemper Tournament, and we kept it up tonight."

Ben Whelan hit a two-run single in the fifth inning to spark the Falcons and was hit by a pitch and scored the tying run in the sixth. The Falcons took advantage of three hit by pitches in the sixth and turned them into three runs.

Whelan finished with three RBIs on the night, and Shay Bales added a 2-for-3 performance with a double and two runs driven in.

Matt O'Malley got the start for the Falcons and was replaced by Richie Moore in the sixth. Moore shut the Rams down over the final two innings, allowing no hits, walking one and striking out two.

"Richie Moore did an outstanding job in relief," Schreiber said.

The Falcons are on the road at Class 1A No. 9 ranked Walnut tonight.
