Eternal rest grant unto Nancy o' Lord: And let perpetual light shine upon her.

May Nancy rest in peace. Amen

May Nancy's soul and the souls of all the faithfully departed through the mercy of God our Father rest in peace. Amen

Nancy (Smith) Kabance, 48, courageously battled breast cancer and made her final journey surrounded by family and friends on February 3, 2018, at home, in Oakton, Va.

Nancy was born on July 9, 1969, in Omaha, Neb. She graduated, in 1987, from St. Albert High School, in Council Bluffs. Nancy married Wesley Kabance on June 21, 1997. They were blessed with three children, Carson, Kennedy and Chandler. Wes and Nancy made their home in Kansas City, Kan., before moving to Oakton in 2008. Nancy will always be remembered for her engaging laugh, ready smile and helping others become better versions of themselves. The world will not shine quite as brightly without her.

She is survived by her husband, Wes; son, Carson (16); daughters, Kennedy (14), and Chandler (10); brothers, Ron Smith (Denise), and Pat Smith (Lynette); sisters, Lil Taylor, Laurie Zeilinger (Chris), and Norene Hedrick (Mike); numerous nephews and nieces.

Services will be held on Saturday, February 10th, at 10 a.m., with visitation to follow until noon, at Cutler-O’Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel, to honor and celebrate the very special lifetime of Nancy (Smith) Kabance.
