It's time once again to announce The Daily Nonpareil All-City Boys Basketball Teams, and the level of talent in Council Bluffs this season is evident in this year's edition.

Three of the four main city schools went over .500 in 2005-06, with Lewis Central picking up 17 wins and city champ Thomas Jefferson winning 14.

Despite graduating last season's City Player of the Year, Thomas Jefferson continued its success in 2005-06 and claimed its second consecutive mythical city title, going undefeated against the other Council Bluffs schools. The Jackets fell just one win short of the school-record, 15, they recorded last year, and saw their season come to an end in the substate semifinal at Sioux City East.

St. Albert ran into a few rough spots, including dropping five in a row early in the season, but rebounded to finish two games over .500 at 12-10. The Falcons came up just short in the second round of the postseason, dropping a 57-50 game to Red Oak.

Abraham Lincoln struggled with injury trouble and picked up just one win in its first 19 games, although nine of those losses were by single digits. The Lynx finished the regular season on a high note, picking up back-to-back wins over city rival Lewis Central and perennial power Sioux City Heelan before falling to Sioux City North in the opening round of the playoffs.
