Nadine WatsonThe St. Albert family is saddened by the loss of Nadine Watson.  Nadine's passing follows her husband, Walter, who passed away in February.  Nadine is the mother of Jeff, who is a 1978 St. Albert graduate and who was a longtime volunteer youth basketball coach for the Falcons.  Grandson, Nate, is a 1997 graduate and is currently serving the citizens of Council Bluffs on the City Council.

Eternal rest grant unto Nadine o' Lord: And let perpetual light shine upon her.

May Nadine rest in peace. Amen

May Nadine's soul and the souls of all the faithfully departed through the mercy of God our Father rest in peace. Amen

Nadine WatsonNadine Frances Watson, age 78, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2012, at Custom Care Homes in Omaha, Neb.

 

She was born in Ute, Iowa, on July 17, 1933, to Lester and Bernice Madison Goodman and graduated from St. Francis Xavier High School, in Council Bluffs. She was united in marriage to Walter Watson on November 8, 1958. Nadine is a member of St. Patrick's Church and served on their funeral luncheon committee. Nadine loved her crafts and formerly owned her own craft business.

Nadine was preceded in death by her parents; son, Dale; and husband, Walter Watson, on February 15, 2012; brother, John Goodman; and sisters, Audrey Wheeler and Bette Hunter.

Survivors include daughter, Traci Stockton and husband, Richard, Jr., of Rio Rancho, N.M.; sons, Jeff and wife, Kelli, and Scott, all of Council Bluffs; 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Carberry and Ruth Messerli and husband, Paul, all Council Bluffs; nieces and nephews.

Rosary recitation Monday, 6 p.m., followed by visitation until 8 p.m., at the Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., at St. Patrick's Church. Father David Fleming, Celebrant. Nadine will be laid to rest at Cedar Lawn Cemetery. Luncheon will follow at St. Patrick's Church Hall. Memorials are suggested to St. Patrick's Church.
