March Madness heads up & CTO

Posted: 03/15/2012 - by Charlie Narmi

How good is the competition that the Falcons have played over the past couple of years?  Over the next two days you can view three former players that have squared off against the Falcons in the Big Dance.  Wes Eikmeier (Fremont Bergan), whom the Falcons never lost too, suits up for Colorado State, where he is a first team Mountain West Selection and leads the team in scoring.  Alex Olsen from Abraham Lincoln in Council Bluffs is a Redshirt Freshman with Creighton.  Marcus Heemstra and Jordan Dykstra (Rock Valley) led a surprise South Dakota State Jackrabbit team into the tourney against Baylor in the first round.  Austin Hennings from Thomas Jefferson in Council Bluffs also is a Redshirt Sophomore at SDSU.  South Dakota State is also where on the gridiron this fall you can drive three hours north to watch former Falcon standouts Andrew Brown and Jake Gentile suit up.

Catholic Tuition OrganizationWith all of the talk on stalbertsporstfan about college scholarships and boasting about how much money someone is getting as part of their college plan (scholarships or grants), we have a challenge for you.  Fill out a CTO Application!!  Why not?  Are you too proud to not apply for CTO, but on the flip side you will apply for every grant and scholarship under the sun for college?  The money has been graciously donated for the use towards Catholic Education.  Did you also know that you DO NOT have to be Catholic to apply for CTO?  Contact Cathy Faurot in the Business Office, or go online at http://www.ctodsmdiocese.org, and remember the first deadline is April 6th.  Tell your friends, and let’s play 3A in ten years!
