Walter WatsonThe St. Albert family is saddened by the loss of Walter Watson who passed away Wednesday.  Walt was of 1978 St. Albert graduate, Jeff, and grandfather of Nate (1997).  In addition, Jeff is a long-time youth basketball coach at St. Albert & Nate is one of the newest members to the Council Bluffs City Council.  Please say a special prayer today for Walt's wife Nadine & the entire Watson family.

Eternal rest grant unto Walter o' Lord: And let perpetual light shine upon him.

May Walter rest in peace. Amen

Walter Watson
Walter L. Watson, age 77, of Council Bluffs, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2012.

He was born June 20, 1934, in Omaha, Neb., to Elwyn and Violet Perfect Watson and served his country in the US Navy from 1953 to 1957. Walt worked as a Steam fitter for Local 464 and was united in marriage to Nadine (Goodman) on November 8, 1958.

Walter is preceded in death by his parents; son, Dale Watson; and sister, Joann Beber.

Survivors include wife of almost 54 years, Nadine; daughter, Traci Stockton and husband, Richard, Jr., of New Mexico; sons, Jeff Watson and wife, Kelli, Scott Watson, all Council Bluffs; 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Darlene Fratt and husband, Harold, of Omaha, Patti Good; brother-in-law, Raymond Beber, both of Minnesota; many nieces and nephews.

Rosary recitation Tuesday, 6 p.m., followed by visitation until 8 p.m., at the Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, 10 a.m., St. Patrick's Church. Father David Fleming, Celebrant. Interment Cedar Lawn Cemetery with military rites by American Legion post 2. Luncheon to follow back at Church. Memorials to St. Patrick's Church, preferred.
