Chloe Simone SheaIt is always difficult when you lose someone you love but it seems especially so when that loved one is very young.  Our deepest sympathies go out to Ryan Shea (1994) & his entire family for the loss of his daughter, Chloe Simone Shea.

Eternal rest grant unto Chloe o' Lord: And let perpetual light shine upon her.

May Chloe rest in peace. Amen

May Chloe's soul and the souls of all the faithfully departed through the mercy of God our Father rest in peace. Amen

January 16, 2008 - December 30, 2011

In February 2011, 3 year old Chloe was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma stage 4.

Chloe underwent emergency surgery to remove the tumor, but all could not be removed, 8 months of chemo, and an eventual bone marrow transplant. She fought the battle like a champ, bringing joy to all who met her in the hospital and friends who surrounded her. In November, the cancer came back. Chloe passed peacefully in her sleep sometime in the early morning hours of December 30th. Her family, school community, hospital community, and all who were graced with her presence will miss Chloe. Chloe taught us how to love and how to live with her special life. Ryan and family offer sincere thanks and blessings to everyone from our community and beyond who prayed, and continue to pray, for little Chloe and her family as her life continues to inspire and draw hearts closer to God.

Chloe was preceded in death by great grandparents, Victor Shea, Don Shea and Rue Hough.

She is survived by her mother, Maile Shea, of Highland Park, Texas; and father, Ryan Shea, of Dallas, Texas; and baby brother, Charles; grandparents, Dennis Shea and wife, Angela, of Council Bluffs, Patsy Swig and husband, Richard Swig, of Council Bluffs, Tom and Holly Mayer, of Highland Park, Texas; uncle, Shawn Shea, of Omaha, Neb.; aunt, Katie Fent and husband, Chad, of Castle Rock, Colo.; great grandparents, Patricia Shea and LaVerna Hough, both of Council Bluffs.

There will be a Memorial Mass Saturday, January 21, 2012, 5 p.m., at Mercy High School, 1501 S. 48th St., Omaha. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Chloe's name to the Children's Garden of Dallas Arboretum or the St. Alcuin Montessori School in memory of Chloe Simone Shea.
