St. Albert kept it close, but Nebraska Class C-1 No. 5 Omaha Roncalli posted a 71-65 win over the host Falcons Thursday.

Connor Thomas scored 16 points to lead St. Albert with Tucker Culjat adding 12 points.

“We had a lot of young guys who played well tonight,” Falcon coach Dale Scott said. “We just couldn’t handle their big 6-foot-5, 250-pound post guy inside. I was proud of the effort the boys put forth tonight, though.”
