Saintes win over Fremont-MillsPosted: 12/19/2011 - by Drew FergusonAfter a tough loss against Treynor on Saturday, the Saintes responded with a nice offensive showing and victory heading into their break. They led early and never really looked back. At halftime, they held a 32-17 lead and the final score resulted into a 17 point win (54-37). There were lots of players that contributed, but the key was really good ball movement on offense, tough defense that forced F-M to turn the ball over, improvement in the turnover department on our end, and better command of the offense - led by Senior Karissa Harrington. The bottom line is it was good to get the win. The Saintes were led by Kylie Ferguson with 23 points, 15 rebounds, and 6 steals. The balance of the scoring came from Nevada Meis, Faye Assman, Nicole Rollins with 7 each, Allie Cox 6, and Katie Kuck and Alli Wettengel each had a bucket. The ladies head to the break at 5-2. Their next game is January 5th at Underwood. -ARCHIVES- |
