But at the varsity basketball level, many of the Council Bluffs St. Albert regulars this year were largely anonymous heading into Thursday night's game with crosstown rival Abraham Lincoln. Five of the top six minutes leaders from last year's Falcon team were seniors.

After an expected easy win over Shenandoah to start the season, St. Albert's new varsity contributors made quite an impression in their first big game of the year. The Falcons blitzed the Lynx 25-5 during one stretch of the third quarter and rolled to a 70-43 nonconference victory at the A.L. Fieldhouse.
