MISSOURI VALLEY - The St. Albert girls came away with the team title at the Missouri Valley Cross Country Invitational Saturday, edging runner-up Griswold 80-86.

Woodbine won the boys race, with Griswold taking second and St. Albert rounding out the top three.

West Harrison's Jessica Clark breezed to the girls individual title, clocking a time of 15:24, while St. Albert used a tight overall grouping to top the team standings.

Audrey Weidman, Jennifer Liston and Abby Schlater took ninth, 12th and 14th respectively for the Saintes, all claiming medals.

Gabrielle Welch (18th) and Mollie Naig (27th) added to the St. Albert effort.

"Our top three runners - Audrey, Jen and Abby - stayed really close together, as they have the last two meets," St. Albert coach Bob Weidman said. "And today, Gabrielle and Mollie had great races too."

In the boys race, Griswold's Nathan Gaunt won in 17:29.

T.J. Masker paced St. Albert in 11th.

"T.J. Masker ran great today," Weidman said. "(It was) easily his best race of the year."

Bryce Kinard finished just out of the medals for the Falcons in 17th.
