ONAWA - St. Albert rolled up 312 yards of rushing and six touchdowns on the ground in a 49-0 blanking of West Monona
Jeremy Scheiffer raced for three touchdowns including scoring runs of 53 and 56 yards and Nolan Batten fired a nine yard scoring strike to Marc Baumert to lead the Falcon offense.

"We are improving each week," said Falcon assistant coach Vince Rew. "That is always the goal."

The St. Albert defense dominated as well, holding the Spartans to 94 yards of total offense in the shutout. "A lot of different players got a chance to play tonight," said Rew. "They all made the most of their opportunities."

Jon Recher added a fourth quarter touchdown on a five yard run to close the Falcon scoring.

"It is good we got to rest some players tonight since we play Logan next week," said Rew. "Every game in our district could be tough so we better be ready."

Batten finished the night with six completions on seven attempts for 119 yards and one touchdown.

"We held them to 10 yards rushing," said Rew. "So the defense has a lot to be proud of just like the offense."

St. Albert will be on the road next Friday at Logan-Magnolia.
