St. Albert Falls Short to Underwood

Posted: 09/08/2004 - by

St Albert and Underwood have traditionally been rivals, and with a new St Albert coach, Angie Lantz, both teams were unsure of what to expect from on another. St Albert ended up coming up short to Underwood 25-10, 25-14, 25-16.

Since Underwood had multiple girls that could hit from all around and had consistently well served balls St Albert found it harder to defend. The hard serves and good hits disallowed them to get passes up and start an offence.

Another aspect Underwood had on St Albert was their ability to block, they rarely ever let a St Albert ball make its way over. Although their blocking was good St Albert managed to get some over the net. There were five total kills by St Albert Emily Propst, Kristin McGlade and Kahli Ladd, with four by Justine Olsen.
