Weekly Bowling Recap

The Falcons bowling team notched their first win of the season last Friday afternoon at Thunderbowl in Council Bluffs, IA. Led by a pair of high scorers, the St. Albert varsity boys out-pinned Tri-Center 2171 to 2090.

Cody Athay’s 332 series (165 & 167) and Nate Kay’s 324 (131 & team high 193) were instrumental in edging the Trojans, where every pin mattered. The boys team is rounding into mid-season form as every bowler bested 140 in at least one of their games. Here are the rest of the team scores:

Jake Denny 125 152

Quinten Julian 105 158

Joe Goltl       118 142

Leukas Burroughs 84 152

On the Saintes side of the lane the team bowled short-handed and were outscored 2040 to 1017 in their match against Tri-Center. Only four rollers names were entered in the digital scorekeeping machine, led for the first time by Ahhyun Lee’s 223 series (129 & 94). The three newcomers filled up the rest of the scoring sheet like this:

Lillia Williams 77 117

Riley Noel 110 80

Avery Clawson 104 66

The next time both teams lace up the rentals will be Tuesday afternoon (12/18), at 3:30pm against Clarinda at Thunderbowl.
