Charlie's Prediction Time

Welcome back to everyone for Homecoming!

Things are strong right now on The Hill and we're glad to have you back.  Is everything perfect? No.  Take a look at the parking lot tonight.  But, things are good and are still heading in the right direction.  Have fun this weekend and remember the good times you had with teachers and friends.  Remember how the St. Albert Community & Experience helped shaped you as a person.  Then say a little prayer and thank someone!

Tell me if you've read this before here in this column, but, we've got a special group right now in the hallowed halls of St. Albert with strong leadership from the Senior class.  Leadership matters (ask Shawn Eichorst) and it is filtering all the way down to the mini Falcons & Saintes.

As for the Falcons tonight - they're on pace to be one of the best we've ever had.  But as a Falcon was recently quoted in The Daily Nonpareil, they haven't done anything yet.  Have they been impressive so far this season? Oh heck yes! They're putting up over 52 points a game and winning by about 50 points a game without the starters seeing the 4th quarter... Hello!

However, tonight could be a bit different.  I was rather surprised how easily the Falcons beat Earlham last year and I'd be surprised if it happens again tonight.  Yes, the Falcons have speed everywhere and speed kills, but Earlham also has some athletes.  They went back to their old offense last week and put up 63 points.  The Falcons may come in near 5 touchdown favorites, but I just don't see it tonight.  Earlham is solid and Homecoming games have historically been some of the Falcons closer games...

The Young Guns have to wait a bit longer tonight before getting onto the field as it takes the old guard a bit to get focused after an early turnover...

Falcons win 45-20
