With heavy hearts and renewed affection for all our loved ones, Field Crew forged ahead at Al Leber Field Monday evening.

A solid contingent attacked weeds, freed stuck fences, plotted press box signage, committed to other projects and admired the state of the playing surface. Randy Salyers has performed stellar work during the day shift.

During fellowship the assembled faithful agreed with the wise observation (by one of the ladies naturally) that Jill would be happy we decided to go on with our work tonight.  Sweating, raising a toast and sharing warm memories was our coping method. Prayers preceded and will follow.

We’re taking the post season, bigger picture approach tonight so no Weedeater of the Week.  Teamwork prevails.

We’re planning to hit it again next Monday at 5:30. Oh, and Rick Waters will need a note from a responsible party to gain re-admittance.
